  • PP Woven Fabric, made from Polypropylene, is used for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and manufacturing applications.
  • These fabrics possess high tear resistance due to multiple layering, which makes them strong, economical, and reliable packaging options for transporting commodities.

KPL is one of the leading PP Woven Fabric manufacturers all across the globe. You can choose from our PP Woven Fabric in laminated and unlaminated forms that are easily recyclable and used in industrial segments like:

  • FIBC
  • Fertilizers
  • Small Sacks
  • Cement
  • Tarpaulin Covers
  • Textiles
  • Machinery
  • Tents & Shelters
  • Food Grain packing

How is Polypropylene Fabric made?

The Process of manufacturing PP Woven Sacks involves following four steps:

  • Tape plant: Extrusion Tape Stretching Plants are used to manufacture PP and HDPE tapes for a variety of uses, including the production of FIBC, Jumbo Bags, Carpet Backing, Tarpaulins, Wrapping Fabrics, and Raffia tapes.
  • Extrusion: The raw material mixture is transported to the plant's extruder, where it is melted using carefully controlled external heat applied to the barrel. A sheet or film made from the molten mass is pushed through a die head and into a cooling tank. The cooled and hardened sheet or film is run through the knives to produce higher-denier raffia tapes (a Unit by which the fineness of a Yarn is measured). Granules of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or Polypropylene (PP) are first extruded into 2.5 mm broad tapes. Stretched and annealed Raffia Tapes are obtained from the Plant. The Sets of Winders are then used to wind these onto Cheese Pipes.
  • Weaving: Weaving the yarn into a fabric using a method akin to that used to make textiles. Following that, a circular weaving machine weaves fabric from these flat tapes. After that, the circular cloth that has been woven is cut to the necessary size. Tubular cloth is made using thread from the bobbin in the creel stand of the circular loom. Circular looms are used to weave raffia tapes into cloth, creating circular cloth with the desired width. Automatic and continuous processes are used in weaving. A certain number of circular looms are installed to correspond with the Raffia Tape manufacturing plant's actual output. Each loom produces a continuous loop of cloth that is wound around rotating pipes.
  • Finishing & Stitching: The Unit's Finishing & Stitching Section receives the rolls of woven fabric. The cloth is printed after being trimmed to the required size. The cut parts are sent for sewing after printing. A valve is constructed in one corner of the cut piece according to the customer's specifications before the cloth is stitched. After passing the quality control test, the woven sacks are packed in 500 or 1000 numbers and baled on a bailing press. The pressed Woven Sacks are bundled, packaged, and shipped after being wrapped.

To prevent rejections, Quality Control inspections are performed at each and every stage. The specifications for Weight, Denier, Bursting Strength, and other factors are meticulously followed.
